About Zach

"Zach Decker is the last great hope for the American People."

- Zach Decker

Zach Decker was Born in Indianapolis, Indiana where he discovered acting through community theatre. He made his debut at six years old in Fiddler on the Roof, disobediently eating prop bagels on stage as his family left Anatevka. Zach earned Bachelor Degrees from Indiana University in both theatre and Spanish. During his time there he was directed by Marti Maraden in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Henry Woronicz in the world premiere of American Asteroid. While in Indiana, he worked professionally in regional theatre performing in classics like As You Like It, Of Mice and Men, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

After moving to Chicago Zach studied at the Second City, graduating from their conservatory program. He was a founding member of both  the long-running sketch show the Post Pubescent Variety Show and the acclaimed improv show West Coast Improv Explosion. He's been seen at the Annoyance Theatre in shows like It's Christmas Goddamnit, the Insurrection Day Special, 12 Angry Improvisers, and the Holy F*ck Comedy Hour. After starting the podcast Professional Contestants, he went on to help create the Echo Effect podcast network.

A trained singer and pianist, he enjoys making music and even took up the harmonica since it's easier to travel with. As an Eagle Scout, Zach has canoed, hiked, climbed, rafted, backpacked, and sailed his way across North America. When he's not performing he plays/coaches for the Annoyance Theatre softball team in the Chicago Theatre Softball League and spends time with his wife and dog.
